Thushar Vellappally, son of Sri. Vellapally Natesan ( SNDP Yogam General Secretary ) and Smt. Preethy Natesan, hail from the Venice of East, Alappuzha in Kerala. I currently serve as the Vice- President of the SNDP Yogam, President of BDJS, State Convenor of NDA Kerala, Assistant Secretary to SN Trust and Devaswom Vice-President of Kanichikulangara Temple.

I came to the limelight as the shoulder and support to my father in his Kongan Railway Passage Project. When Vaikom was hit with the issue of Cemetery,I didn’t hesitate to be with the common man. Precisely, being one among them for the good cause I acknowledged the existence of a non-partisan social worker in me.

In 1996, SNDP Yogam entrust the responsibility to work for the Yogam Elections on me. I travelled to each and every nook and corner giving strength and courage to the unions to face the elections and also tried my best in coordinating the selection of the candidates and further election processes

Due respect to Swami Sashwathikananda made me to follow his directives and lead the Youth Movement. Being the Chairman of the Youth wing, I led a march to Guruvayoor against the evils, discriminations and double standards that prevail in our society. The success brought in by this act helped in acknowledging my ability and confidence by the SNDP Yogam and I was brought to the forefront of both SNDP Yogam & SN Trust.
